FAQs

Divine power manifests in proportion to the need of restoring balance—destruction here is not cruelty but removal of what obstructs cosmic welfare. The verse frames violence within a dharmic teleology: protection of the righteous and re-establishment of order.

Best classified as Vaṃśānucarita / didactic sacred history (it narrates exemplary divine action), with a dharma-oriented purpose rather than cosmographic or genealogical cataloguing.

‘At that moment’ indicates kairos—when inner readiness meets grace. The arising of extraordinary powers suggests that when consciousness aligns with dharma, latent śaktis manifest to overcome inner ‘asuras’ (hostility to the divine).
