चुकोप दैत्याधिपतिः शुम्भः प्रस्फुरिताधरः ।
आज्ञापयामास च तौ चण्डमुण्डौ महासुरौ ॥
cukopa daityādhipatiḥ śumbhaḥ prasphuritādharaḥ / ājñāpayāmāsa ca tau caṇḍamuṇḍau mahāsurau
അപ്പോൾ ദൈത്യാധിപൻ ശുംഭൻ ക്രോധത്തിൽ ജ്വലിച്ച്, അധരങ്ങൾ വിറയ്ക്കെ, ആ രണ്ടു മഹാസുരന്മാരായ ചണ്ഡനും മുണ്ഡനും ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു।
