भगवानुवाच भवनेतामद्य मे तुष्टौ मम वध्यावुभावपि ।

किमन्येन वरेणात्र एतावद्धि वृतं मम ॥

bhagavān uvāca bhavan etām adya me tuṣṭau mama vadhyāv ubhāv api | kim anyena vareṇātra etāvad dhi vṛtaṃ mama ||

ഭഗവാൻ പറഞ്ഞു: 'നിങ്ങൾ എന്നിൽ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, നിങ്ങൾ ഇരുവരും എന്നാൽ വധിക്കപ്പെടണം. ഇവിടെ എനിക്ക് മറ്റൊരു വരം കൊണ്ട് എന്ത് ആവശ്യം? ഇത് മാത്രമാണ് ഞാൻ വരിക്കുന്നത്.'
