विहीनश्च धनैर्दारैः पुत्रैरादाय मे धनम् ।

वनमभ्यागतो दुःखी निरस्तश्चाप्तबन्धुभैः ॥

vihīnaś ca dhanair dāraiḥ putrair ādāya me dhanam /

vanam abhyāgato duḥkhī nirastaś cāpta-bandhubhaiḥ

ധനവും ഭാര്യയും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു, പുത്രന്മാർ എന്റെ ധനം കൈക്കലാക്കിയതിനാൽ ഞാൻ ദുഃഖത്തോടെ വനത്തിലേക്ക് വന്നു; വിശ്വസിച്ച ബന്ധുക്കളും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും പോലും എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
