स पृष्टस्तेन कस्त्वं भोः हेतुश्चागमनेऽत्र कः ।
सशोक इव कस्मात्त्वं दुर्मना इव लक्ष्यसे ॥
sa pṛṣṭas tena kas tvaṃ bhoḥ hetuś cāgamane 'tra kaḥ /
saśoka iva kasmāt tvaṃ durmanā iva lakṣyase
രാജാവ് അവനോട് ചോദിച്ചു—‘ഭദ്രാ, നീ ആരാണ്? ഇവിടെ വരാനുള്ള കാരണം എന്ത്? നീ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ശോകാകുലനായി, വിഷണ്ണനായി തോന്നുന്നു?’
