Adhyaya 65 — Svarocis Enjoys on the Mountain; A Debate on Marital Fidelity and Desire
चित्तानुराग एकस्मिन्नधिष्ठाने यतः सखि ।
ततो हि प्रीतिमानेष भाऱ्यासु भविता कथम् ॥
cittānurāga ekasminn adhiṣṭhāne yataḥ sakhi | tato hi prītimān eṣa bhāryāsu bhavitā katham ||
പ്രിയ സഖി, ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ സ്നേഹം ഒരൊറ്റ ആസനത്തിൽ (ഒരൊറ്റ വിഷയത്തിൽ) തന്നെ നിലകൊള്ളുമ്പോൾ, അവൻ എല്ലാ ഭാര്യമാരോടും യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ സ്നേഹമുള്ളവനാകുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ?

Affection is intrinsically focusing; when the heart is fixed, ‘equal love’ toward many partners becomes psychologically and ethically incoherent—hence fidelity is implied as the basis for genuine prīti.
Dharma-vicāra (ethical inquiry) within an upākhyāna; it is not a cosmological or genealogical unit.
The ‘single seat’ of attachment points to ekāgratā (one-pointedness): in yoga it is a virtue, but when bound to desire it becomes fixation; the teaching redirects one-pointedness from sensuality toward steadiness and right relationship.
