ब्राह्मण उवाच मा मां स्प्राक्षीर्व्रजान्यत्र दुष्टे यः सदृशस्तव ।

मयान्यथा याचिता त्वमन्यथैवाप्युपैषि माम् ॥

brāhmaṇa uvāca mā māṃ sprākṣīr vraja anyatra duṣṭe yaḥ sadṛśas tava | mayā anyathā yācitā tvam anyathaivāpy upaiṣi mām ||

ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ പറഞ്ഞു—എന്നെ സ്പർശിക്കരുത്. ഹേ ദുഷ്ടേ, മറ്റിടത്തേക്ക് പോകുക; നിനക്കുപോലെയുള്ളവൾ പതിതയാണ്. ഞാൻ ഒരുവിധം ചോദിച്ചതിനാൽ, നീ മറ്റൊരു വിധത്തിൽ തന്നെയാണ് എന്നിലേക്കു സമീപിക്കുന്നത്.
