अनेकदेशदर्शित्वेनातिश्रमसमान्वितः ।
त्वं नातिवृद्धो वयसा नातिवृत्तश्च यौवनात् ।
कथम् अल्पेन कालेन पृथिवीमटसि द्विज ॥
aneka-deśa-darśitvenātiśrama-samānvitaḥ |
tvaṁ nāti-vṛddho vayasā nāti-vṛttaś ca yauvanāt |
katham alpena kālena pṛthivīm aṭasi dvija ||
അനേകം ദേശങ്ങൾ കാണിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ മഹാശ്രമത്തിൽ ക്ഷീണിച്ചവനെന്നപോലെ തോന്നുന്നു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ അതിവൃദ്ധനുമല്ല, യൗവനാതീതനുമല്ല. ഹേ ബ്രാഹ്മണാ, ഇത്ര കുറച്ച് സമയത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയെ എങ്ങനെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു?
