मीनमेषौ द्विजश्रेष्ठ ! पादे पूर्वोत्तरे स्थितौ ।

कूर्मे देशास्तथर्क्षाणि देशेष्वेतेषु वै द्विज ॥

ഹേ ദ്വിജശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! മീനവും മേഷവും ഈശാന്യ പാദത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതമാണ്. ഇങ്ങനെ (വിശ്വ) കൂർമത്തിൽ പ്രദേശങ്ങളും നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും—ഹേ ദ്വിജാ—ഈ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ വിഭജിതമായി വിന്യസിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
