कावेरी ऋष्यमूकस्था नासिक्याश्चैव ये जनाः ।

शङ्खशुक्त्यादिवैदूर्यशैलप्रान्तचराश्च ये ॥

kāverī ṛṣyamūkasthā nāsikyāś caiva ye janāḥ | śaṅkhaśukty-ādi-vaidūrya-śaila-prānta-carāś ca ye ||

കാവേരി പ്രദേശവാസികൾ, ഋഷ്യമൂകത്തിൽ പാർക്കുന്നവർ, നാശിക്യജനങ്ങൾ, കൂടാതെ ശംഖ്-മുത്ത് മുതലായവയ്ക്ക് പ്രസിദ്ധമായ വൈദൂര്യപർവതങ്ങളുടെ അതിരുകളിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നവരും ഇവിടെ എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു।
