bhūtebhyo 'ṇḍaṃ mahābuddhe ! vṛhattadudakeśayam / prākṛte 'ṇḍe vivṛddhaḥ san kṣetrajño brahmasaṃjñitaḥ

ഹേ മഹാമനസ്സേ! ഭൂതങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു ആ അണ്ഡം ഉദ്ഭവിച്ചു—വിപുലവും ജലാശ്രിതവും. ആ പ്രാകൃത അണ്ഡം വളർന്നപ്പോൾ ക്ഷേത്രജ്ഞൻ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു; ‘ബ്രഹ്മാ’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധൻ.
