Adhyaya 43 — Portents of Death (Ariṣṭa-lakṣaṇas) and the Yogin’s Response; Alarka Renounces Kingship
शक्रायुधं चार्धरात्रे दिवा ग्रहगणं तथा ।
दृष्ट्वा मन्येत संक्षीणमात्मजीवितमात्मवित् ॥
śakrāyudhaṃ cārdharātre divā grahagaṇantathā / dṛṣṭvā manyeta saṃkṣīṇamātmajīvitamātmavit
ആരെങ്കിലും അർദ്ധരാത്രിയിൽ ഇന്ദ്രന്റെ ആയുധം (ഇന്ദ്രധനുസ്സ്) കാണുകയോ, പകലിൽ ഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടം കാണുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ, ജ്ഞാനി തന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് ക്ഷയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് അറിയണം।
