Adhyaya 40The Yogin’s Impediments (Upasargas), Subtle Concentrations, and the Eight Siddhis

प्रतिभान्ति यदस्येति प्रातिभः स तु योगिनः । शब्दार्थानखिलान् वेत्ति शब्दं गृह्णाति चैव यत् ॥

pratibhānti yad asyeti prātibhaḥ sa tu yoginaḥ | śabdārthān akhilān vetti śabdaṃ gṛhṇāti caiva yat ||

അവനു എല്ലാം ‘പ്രതിഭാസിച്ച്’ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ യോഗിയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ ഇതിനെ ‘പ്രാതിഭം’ എന്നു പറയുന്നു; അവൻ എല്ലാ ശബ്ദങ്ങളും അർത്ഥങ്ങളും അറിയുകയും വാക്കിന്റെ അന്തർഭാവവും ഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു।
