Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
करोत्यात्महितं कुर्वन् विश्वासञ्च महाजने ।
देवताः पितरो विप्रा मित्रार्थिविकलादयः ॥
karoty ātma-hitaṃ kurvan viśvāsaṃ ca mahā-jane | devatāḥ pitaro viprā mitra-arthi-vikalādayaḥ ||
ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച് അവൻ സ്വന്തം നന്മ സാധിക്കുന്നു; മഹന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ വിശ്വാസവും നേടുന്നു. ദേവന്മാർ, പിതൃകൾ, ബ്രാഹ്മണർ, സുഹൃത്തുകൾ, യാചകർ, പീഡിതർ എന്നിവരും മറ്റുള്ളവരും അവനെ ആശ്രയമായി നോക്കുന്നു.
