इति शुक्रवचः सत्यं कृतमेभिः खगोत्तमैः ।

ये युद्धेऽपि न सम्प्राप्ताः पञ्चत्वमतिमानुषे ॥

iti śukravacaḥ satyaṃ kṛtam ebhiḥ khagottamaiḥ / ye yuddhe ’pi na samprāptāḥ pañcatvamatimānuṣe //

ഈ ശ്രേഷ്ഠ പക്ഷികൾ ശുക്രമുനിയുടെ വാക്കിനെ സത്യമാക്കി. യുദ്ധത്തിലുപോലും ‘പഞ്ചത്വം’ (മരണം) പ്രാപിക്കാത്തവർ, മനുഷ്യപരിമിതിയെ അതിക്രമിച്ച രീതിയിൽ അതിനെ പ്രാപിച്ചു।
