पुत्र उवाच तस्य तन्निश्चयं ज्ञात्वा मन्त्रिमध्यस्थितोऽब्रवीत् ।

गर्गो नाम महाबुद्धिर्मुनिश्रेष्ठो वयोऽतिगः ॥

Transliteration

putra uvāca tasya tan-niścayaṃ jñātvā mantri-madhya-sthito 'bravīt | gargo nāma mahā-buddhir muni-śreṣṭho vayo 'tigaḥ ||

Translation

പുത്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു: അവന്റെ നിശ്ചയം മനസ്സിലാക്കി മന്ത്രിമാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്ന ഒരാൾ സംസാരിച്ചു—ഗർഗ എന്ന പേരുള്ളവൻ; മഹാബുദ്ധിമാൻ, ശ്രേഷ്ഠ മുനി, വാർദ്ധക്യത്തിലെത്തിയവൻ।
