Adhyaya 17The Birth of Atri’s Three Sons: Soma, Dattatreya, and Durvasa

स्त्रीसन्निकर्षाद्यद्येते परित्यक्ष्यन्ति मामिति ।

मुनिपुत्रास्ततोऽसङ्गी स्थास्यामिति विचिन्तयन् ॥

strīsannikarṣād yad yady ete parityakṣyanti mām iti | muniputrās tato 'saṅgī sthāsyāmīti vicintayan ||

‘സ്ത്രീസാന്നിധ്യം കാരണം ഈ മുനിപുത്രന്മാർ എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചാൽ?’ എന്ന് വിചാരിച്ച്, ആ വിരക്തൻ ‘അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ യഥാതഥമായി തന്നെ നിലകൊള്ളാം’ എന്ന് നിശ്ചയിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെ ചിന്തിച്ചു।
