क्लिद्यमाने चिरतरं जन्तुर्दुःखमवाप्नुते ।

स्वेन कर्मविपाकेन देहान्तरगतोऽपि सन् ॥

svena karmavipākena dehāntaragato 'pi san

ദീർഘകാലം ദീനവും ജീർണ്ണവുമായ അവസ്ഥയിൽ കഴിയുന്ന ആ ജീവൻ, മറ്റൊരു ദേഹത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചിട്ടും, സ്വന്തം കർമ്മവിപാകത്തിന്റെ പ്രേരണയാൽ ദുഃഖം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു।
