इच्छामि तमहं द्रष्टमर्चितुं च महाबलम् । येन मे त्वं च गावश्व रक्षिता देवसूनुना,विराटने पूछा--बेटा! वह महायशस्वी महाबाहु वीर देवपुत्र कहाँ है, जिसने युद्धमें कौरवोंद्वारा काबूमें की हुई मेरी गौओंको जीता है? जिस देवकुमारने तुम्हें और मेरी गौओंको भी बचाया है, मैं उस महापराक्रमी वीरको देखना और उसका सत्कार करना चाहता हूँ
icchāmi tam ahaṁ draṣṭum arcituṁ ca mahābalam | yena me tvaṁ ca gāvaśva rakṣitā devasūnunā ||
ആ മഹാബലവാനെ ഞാൻ കാണുകയും ആദരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു—ദേവസൂനുവായ അവൻ കൊണ്ടാണ് നീയും എന്റെ പശുക്കളും (കുതിരകളും) സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.
