तौ समाजघ्नतुर्वीरावन्योन्यं पुरुषर्षभौ । शरैराशीविषाकारैज्वलद्धिरिव पन्नगै:,वे दोनों पुरुषसिंह वीर विषधर सर्पके समान आकारवाले जलते हुए-से बाणोंद्वारा एक-दूसरेको चोट पहुँचाने लगे

tau samājaghnatur vīrāv anyonyaṁ puruṣarṣabhau | śarair āśīviṣākārair jvaladdhir iva pannagaiḥ ||

ആ രണ്ടു പുരുഷർഷഭ വീരന്മാർ പരസ്പരം പ്രഹരിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അവരുടെ അമ്പുകൾ വിഷസർപ്പങ്ങളുടെ രൂപമുള്ളവയും, ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന പന്നഗങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ കത്തുന്നതുപോലെയും തോന്നി।
