Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)

अमानितैरमननितैर्वा अज्ञातै: परिवत्सरम्‌ ततश्नतुर्दशे वर्षे चरिष्पथ यथासुखम्‌,वहाँ तुम्हारा अपमान हो या सम्मान, सब कुछ सहकर एक वर्षतक अज्ञातभावसे रहना चाहिये। तदनन्तर चौदहवें वर्षमें तुमलोग अपनी इच्छाके अनुसार सुखपूर्वक विचरण कर सकोगे

Transliteration

amānitair amanitair vā ajñātaiḥ parivatsaram | tataś caturdaśe varṣe cariṣyatha yathāsukham ||

Translation

ധൗമ്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപമാനം വന്നാലും ബഹുമാനം വന്നാലും എല്ലാം സഹിച്ച് ഒരു പൂർണ്ണ വർഷം അജ്ഞാതനായി, മറഞ്ഞുകഴിയണം. അതിന് ശേഷം പതിനാലാം വർഷത്തിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം സന്തോഷത്തോടെ സ്വതന്ത്രമായി സഞ്ചരിക്കാം.
