उत्तरो भयविषण्णः — बृहन्नडेन धैर्योपदेशः

धनुष्यनवरश्नलासीत्‌ तस्य शिष्यो महात्मन: । दृष्टपूर्वो मया वीर चरन्त्या पाण्डवान्‌ प्रति,“वीर! यह उन्हीं महात्माका शिष्य है, अतः थर्नुर्विद्यामें भी उनसे कम नहीं है। पहले पाण्डवोंके यहाँ रहते समय मैंने इसे देखा है

dhanuṣyanavaraśnalāsīt tasya śiṣyo mahātmanaḥ | dṛṣṭapūrvo mayā vīra carantyā pāṇḍavān prati ||

വീരാ! ഇയാൾ ആ മഹാത്മാവിന്റെ ശിഷ്യനാണ്; ധനുസ്സിന്റെ നാരും കെട്ടുകളും ഘടിപ്പിക്കുകയും കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതിൽ നിപുണൻ. പാണ്ഡവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഇയാളെ മുമ്പ് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
