शतानीकादवरजो मदिराक्षो5भ्यहारयत् । शतानीकसे छोटे भाईका नाम मदिराक्ष था। उन्होंने सुवर्णपत्रसे आच्छादित सुदृढ़ कवच धारण किया

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ശതാനീകന്റെ ഇളയ സഹോദരൻ മദിരാക്ഷൻ മുന്നോട്ട് വന്നു. അവൻ സ്വർണ്ണപത്രം പൊതിഞ്ഞ ദൃഢമായ കവചം ധരിച്ചു— ഇരുമ്പുപോലെ കഠിനം, എല്ലാത്തരം ആയുധാഘാതങ്ങളും സഹിക്കാൻ ശേഷിയുള്ളത്.
