वैशम्पायन उवाच पज्चाधिकं शतं तच्च निहतं तेन भारत । महावनमिवच्छिन्नं शिश्ये विगलितद्गुमम्
Translation
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഭാരതാ! അവൻ വധിച്ച ആ നൂറ്റഞ്ച് ഉപകീചകർ അവിടെ അങ്ങനെ കിടന്നു; വെട്ടിമാറ്റപ്പെട്ട മഹാവനം വീണുകിടക്കുന്ന വൃക്ഷങ്ങളാൽ നിറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ.
