श्मशानाभिमुख: प्रायाद् यत्र ते कीचका गता: । स लड्घयित्वा प्राकारं नि:सृत्य च पुरोत्तमात् | जवेन पतितो भीम: सूतानामग्रतस्तदा
śmaśānābhimukhaḥ prāyād yatra te kīcakā gatāḥ | sa laṅghayitvā prākāraṃ niḥsṛtya ca purottamāt | javena patito bhīmaḥ sūtānām agratas tadā ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആ കീചകർ പോയ ദിശയിലേക്കുതന്നെ ഭീമൻ ശ്മശാനത്തേക്ക് പുറപ്പെട്ടു. പ്രാകാരം ചാടി ആ ഉത്തമനഗരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്തുകടന്ന്, അവൻ അതിവേഗത്തിൽ പാഞ്ഞതിനാൽ സൂതപുത്രന്മാരെക്കാൾ മുമ്പേ അവിടെ എത്തി।
