भीमेन च परामृष्टो दुर्बलो बलिना रणे । प्रास्पन्दत यथाप्राणं विचकर्ष च पाण्डवम्
bhīmena ca parāmṛṣṭo durbalo balinā raṇe | prāspandata yathāprāṇaṃ vicakarṣa ca pāṇḍavam ||
ആ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ മഹാബലവാനായ ഭീമന്റെ പിടിയിൽ പെട്ട്, കൂടുതൽ ബലവാന്റെ അമർച്ചയിൽ കീചകൻ ക്ഷീണിച്ചുപോകുകയായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും, ശേഷിച്ച ശ്വാസശക്തിയോളം മുഴുവൻ വെച്ച് അവൻ പൊരുതിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു—പാണ്ഡവനെ ജയിക്കുവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച് ഭീമസേനനെ തന്റെ വശത്തേക്ക് വലിച്ചിഴക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി।
