Draupadī’s Grief at Seeing the Heroes in Disguise (द्रौपदी-विषादः / वेष-परिभव-वर्णनम्)
यन्मां दासीप्रवादेन प्रातिकामी तदानयत् | सभापरिषदो मध्ये तन््मां दहति भारत,दुर्योधनके सेवकके रूपमें दुःशासन मुझे दासी कहकर जो उस समय कौरवोंके सभाभवनमें जनसमाजके भीतर घसीट ले गया, वह अपमानकी आग मुझे आजतक जला रही है
yan māṃ dāsī-pravādena prātikāmī tadānayat | sabhā-pariṣado madhye tan māṃ dahati bhārata ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭാരതാ, ആ അപമാനം ഇന്നും എന്നെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു: ‘ദാസി’ എന്ന അപവാദം ചുമത്തി പ്രാതികാമി എന്നെ സഭാപരിഷത്തിന്റെ നടുവിലേക്ക് വലിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവന്നു. ദുര്യോധനന്റെ സേവകനായ ദുശ്ശാസനൻ ‘ദാസി’ എന്നു വിളിച്ച് കൌരവസഭയിൽ ജനസമൂഹത്തിനിടയിൽ എന്റെ മുടി പിടിച്ച് വലിച്ചിഴച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി—ആ അപമാനാഗ്നി ഇന്നും എന്റെ ഹൃദയം കത്തിക്കുന്നു.
