जीमूतं नाम तं तत्र मल्लं प्रख्यातविक्रमम् । फिर लोगोंमें हर्षका संचार करते हुए उन्होंने लँगोट बाँधा और उस प्रसिद्ध पराक्रमी जीमूत नामक मल्लको, जो वृत्रासुरके समान दिखायी देता था, युद्धके लिये ललकारा
jīmūtaṃ nāma taṃ tatra mallaṃ prakhyātavikramam |
അവിടെ ജനങ്ങളിൽ ഹർഷം പടർത്തി അവൻ ലങ്കോട്ടു മുറുക്കി കെട്ടി, വൃത്രാസുരനെപ്പോലെ തോന്നുന്ന, പ്രസിദ്ധ പരാക്രമിയായ ‘ജീമൂത’ എന്ന മല്ലനെ യുദ്ധത്തിനായി വെല്ലുവിളിച്ചു।
