Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana
इदं धन्यमिदं मेध्यमिदं स्वर्ग्यमनुत्तमम् । इदं पुण्यमिदं रम्यं पावन धर्म्यमुत्तमम्,यह गंगा-माहात्म्य धन्य, पवित्र, स्वर्गप्रद और परम उत्तम है। यह पुण्यदायक, रमणीय, पावन, उत्तम, धर्मसंगत और श्रेष्ठ है
idaṃ dhanyam idaṃ medhyam idaṃ svargyam anuttamam | idaṃ puṇyam idaṃ ramyaṃ pāvanaṃ dharmyam uttamam ||
പുലസ്ത്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഈ വൃത്താന്തം മംഗളകരം, ശുദ്ധികരവും പരമോത്തമമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗപ്രദവുമാണ്. ഇത് പുണ്യദായകം, രമ്യം—പാവനം, ധർമ്മസമ്മതം, ശ്രേഷ്ഠം.
