Dhaumya’s Enumeration of Eastern Tīrthas
Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana
maṭaḍasya tu kedārastatraiva kurunandana
The verse reinforces the Vana Parva’s tirtha-oriented ethic: sacred places are to be recognized and approached with reverence, and knowledge of holy geography is transmitted through authoritative sages to guide dharmic conduct.
Sage Pulastya is pointing out (or identifying) a specific holy site—the kedāra associated with Maṭaḍa—to the Kuru prince he addresses, as part of a larger description of pilgrimage locations and their significance.
