Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana
स्नाति तीर्थेषु कौरव्य न च वक्रमतिर्नर: | त्वया तु सम्यग्वृत्तेन नित्यं धर्मार्थदर्शिना
snāti tīrtheṣu kauravya na ca vakramatir naraḥ | tvayā tu samyagvṛttena nityaṁ dharmārthadarśinā
പുലസ്ത്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ കൗരവ്യ! മനുഷ്യൻ തീർത്ഥങ്ങളിൽ സ്നാനം ചെയ്താലും അവന്റെ വക്രബുദ്ധി അതിനാൽ മാത്രം മാറുകയില്ല. എന്നാൽ നീ സമ്യക്വൃത്തനായി നിത്യം ധർമ്മവും അർത്ഥവും തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നവൻ; അതുകൊണ്ട് നിനക്കു ശുദ്ധിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം വെറും കർമ്മകാണ്ഡത്തിലല്ല, ശീലത്തിലൂടെയേ സിദ്ധിക്കുന്നു.
