घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse elevates inner intention (mental resolve) as ethically potent: even the sincere wish to undertake a sacred journey to Kurukṣetra is credited with purifying sin and generating merit leading to Brahmaloka.
In a tirtha-māhātmya context within the Vana Parva, Ghūlastya instructs Yudhiṣṭhira about the extraordinary sanctity of Kurukṣetra, praising it as a place whose mere contemplation and desire to visit brings spiritual purification and exalted posthumous reward.
