घुलस्त्य उवाच
Self-mastery (jitendriyatā) and disciplined brahmacarya, when joined with righteous action and sacred observance, generate puṇya and lead to honor among the virtuous—suggesting that ethical restraint is socially and spiritually elevating.
A brahmacārin goes to the sacred place Pañcavaṭī; because he is self-controlled and possessed of great merit, he becomes esteemed in the realm of good people—marking pilgrimage and ascetic discipline as causes of elevated standing.
