ब्रह्मादिभि: सुरै राजन्नषिभिश्न तपोधनै: । विज्ञप्तो वै महादेव ऋषेरथ नराधिप,राजन! नरेश्वर! उस समय ब्रह्मा आदि देवता तथा तपोधन महर्षिगण--सबने मंकणक मुनिके विषयमें महादेवजीसे निवेदन किया--

Transliteration

brahmādibhiḥ surai rājann ṛṣibhiś ca tapodhanaiḥ | vijñapto vai mahādeva ṛṣer atha narādhipa ||

Translation

ഹേ രാജാവേ, ഹേ നരാധിപനേ! അന്ന് ബ്രഹ്മാദി ദേവന്മാരും തപോധന മഹർഷിമാരും ആ ഋഷിയെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് മഹാദേവനോട് വിധിപൂർവ്വം അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
