sāmānyam etad draviṇaṁ na mithyāvacanaṁ mama |
Wealth should be regarded with a sense of shared entitlement and responsibility, and one must speak truthfully when asserting claims about property; ethical ownership is tied to honesty and fairness.
Bṛhadaśva, in the course of his narration, quotes or states a principle about wealth being common and insists that his assertion is not false, framing the situation in terms of rightful sharing and truthful speech.
