दमयन्त्याश्व मुदिता: प्रतिजग्मुर्यथागतम् । इस प्रकार राजा नलको वरदान देकर वे देवता-लोग स्वर्गलोकको चले गये। स्वयंवरमें आये हुए राजा भी विस्मयविमुग्ध हो नल और दमयन्तीके विवाहोत्सवका-सा अनुभव करते हुए प्रसन्नतापूर्वक जैसे आये थे, वैसे लौट गये
bṛhadaśva uvāca | damayantyāś ca muditāḥ pratijagmur yathāgatam |
ബൃഹദശ്വൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ദമയന്തിക്കായി ആനന്ദിച്ച അവർ വന്ന വഴിയേ തന്നെ മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി. വരം നൽകി ദേവന്മാർ സ്വർഗ്ഗലോകത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി; സ്വയംവരത്തിൽ എത്തിയ രാജാക്കന്മാരും അത്ഭുതവും ഹർഷവും കൊണ്ട് വിസ്മയമൂഢരായി, നല-ദമയന്തികളുടെ വിവാഹോത്സവം കണ്ടതുപോലെ അനുഭവിച്ച്, വന്നപോലെ തന്നെ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ മടങ്ങി।
