न्यवेदयत्‌ तामस्वस्थां दमयन्तीं नरेश्वरे । तच्छुत्वा नृपतिर्भीमो दमयन्तीं सखीगणात्‌

Transliteration

nyavedayat tāmasvasthāṃ damayantīṃ nareśvare | tac chrutvā nṛpatir bhīmo damayantīṃ sakhīgaṇāt

Translation

ബൃഹദശ്വൻ നരേശ്വരനോട് ദമയന്തി ഗാഢവിഷാദത്തിലും അസ്വസ്ഥാവസ്ഥയിലും ആകപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് അറിയിച്ചു. അത് കേട്ട പരാക്രമശാലിയായ രാജാവ് ഭീമൻ ആശങ്കയാൽ വിങ്ങി, സഖീജനങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്ന് ദമയന്തിയെ തേടിത്തുടങ്ങി.
