न हार्जुनसम: कश्रिद्‌ युधि योद्धा धनुर्धर: । भविता वा पुमान्‌ कश्चिन्मत्समो वा गदाधर:,'युद्धमें अर्जुनके समान कोई धनुर्धर अथवा मेरे समान गदाधारी योद्धा न तो है और न आगे होनेकी ही सम्भावना है

na hārjunasamaḥ kaścid yudhi yoddhā dhanurdharaḥ | bhavitā vā pumān kaścin matsamo vā gadādharaḥ ||

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അർജുനനോടു തുല്യനായ ധനുർധര യോദ്ധാവ് ആരുമില്ല; അതുപോലെ ഗദാധാരികളിൽ എനിക്കു സമനായവൻ ഇപ്പോഴും ഇല്ല, ഇനി വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന കാലത്തും ആരുമുണ്ടാകില്ല.
