सतत यश्च कामार्थी नेतरावनुतिष्ठति । मित्राणि तस्य नश्यन्ति धर्मार्थभ्यां च हीयते

അതുപോലെ, നിരന്തരം കാമം മാത്രം തേടി ധർമ്മവും അർത്ഥവും സമ്പാദിക്കാത്തവന്റെ സുഹൃത്തുകൾ നശിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ധർമ്മത്തിലും അർത്ഥത്തിലും ഇരട്ടയായും ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു.
