न शशाक यदा बाला प्रत्याख्यातुं तमोनुदम्‌ । भीता शापात्‌ ततो राजन्‌ दध्यौ दीर्घमथान्तरम्‌,राजन्‌! जब वह बाला अन्धकारनाशक भगवान्‌ सूर्यदेवको टाल न सकी, तब शापसे भयभीत हो दीर्घकालतक मन-ही-मन कुछ सोचने लगी

Transliteration

na śaśāka yadā bālā pratyākhyātuṃ tamonudam | bhītā śāpāt tato rājan dadhyau dīrgham athāntaram ||

Translation

രാജാവേ! ആ ബാലിക അന്ധകാരനാശകനായ സൂര്യദേവനെ നിരസിക്കാൻ കഴിയാതിരുന്നപ്പോൾ, ശാപഭയത്താൽ അവൾ ദീർഘനേരം ഉള്ളിൽ തന്നെ ആലോചിച്ചു।
