वरान् वृणीष्व कल्याणि दुरापात् मानुषैरिह | यैस्त्वं सीमन्तिनी: सर्वा यशसाभिभविष्यसि
varān vṛṇīṣva kalyāṇi durāpāt mānuṣair iha | yais tvaṃ sīmantiṇīḥ sarvā yaśasābhibhaviṣyasi ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“കല്യാണീ! വരങ്ങൾ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക—ഈ ലോകത്ത് മനുഷ്യർക്കു ദുർലഭമായ വരങ്ങൾ; അവയാൽ നീ നിന്റെ യശസ്സിന്റെ ബലത്തിൽ എല്ലാ സീമന്തിനികളെയും അതിക്രമിക്കും.”
