पुरुषस्य परे लोके कीर्तिरेव परायणम् | इह लोके विशुद्धा च कीर्तिरायुर्विवर्द्धनी,परलोकमें कीर्ति ही पुरुषके लिये सबसे महान् आश्रय है। इस लोकमें भी विशुद्ध कीर्ति आयु बढ़ानेवाली होती है
puruṣasya pare loke kīrtir eva parāyaṇam | iha loke viśuddhā ca kīrtir āyur-vivarddhanī ||
പരലോകത്തിൽ പുരുഷന് പരമാശ്രയം കീർത്തി മാത്രമാണ്. ഈ ലോകത്തും നിർമലമായ കീർത്തി ആയുസ്സ് വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതെന്നു പറയുന്നു.
