गौतम उवाच अकस्माच्चक्षुष: प्राप्तिर्युमत्सेनस्य ते पितु: । नास्य त्वं कारण वेत्सि सावित्री वक्तुमहति,गौतम बोले--तुम्हारे पिता द्युमत्सेनको जो सहसा नेत्रोंकी प्राप्ति हुई है, इसका कारण तुम नहीं जानते। सम्भवत: सावित्री बतला सकती है

gautama uvāca | akasmāc cakṣuṣaḥ prāptir dyumatsenasyate pituḥ | nāsya tvaṃ kāraṇaṃ vetsi sāvitrī vaktum arhati ||

ഗൗതമൻ പറഞ്ഞു—നിന്റെ പിതാവായ ദ്യുമത്സേനന് അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി കാഴ്ച ലഭിച്ചതിന്റെ കാരണം നീ അറിയുന്നില്ല. അത് പറയാൻ യോഗ്യയായത് സാവിത്രിയാണ്.
