उवाच रामो वैदेहीं परामर्शविशड्कित: । गच्छ वैदेहि मुक्ता त्वं यत्‌ कार्य तन्मया कृतम्‌,श्रीरामचन्द्रजीके मनमें यह संदेह हुआ कि सम्भव है, सीता पर पुरुषके स्पर्शसे अपवित्र हो गयी हों; अतः उन्होंने विदेहनन्दिनी सीतासे स्पष्ट वचनोंद्वारा कहा --विदेहकुमारी! मैंने तुम्हें रावणकी कैदसे छुड़ा दिया। अब तुम जाओ। मेरा जो कर्तव्य था, उसे मैंने पूरा कर दिया

മാർകണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആലോചിച്ച് സംശയത്തിൽ കലങ്ങിയ രാമൻ വൈദേഹിയോട് പറഞ്ഞു—“വൈദേഹി, പോകുക; നീ മോചിതയാണ്. എന്റെ കർത്തവ്യമായ കാര്യം ഞാൻ ചെയ്തു കഴിഞ്ഞു.”
