Sāvitrī–Satyavān Vivāha: Kanyāpradāna and Āśrama-Śīla (सावित्री-सत्यवान्विवाहः)
पतेयं गिरिशृज्भाद् वा विशेयं वा हुताशनम् | रामं भर्तारमुत्सज्य न त्वहं त्वां कथंचन
pateyaṁ giriśṛṅgād vā viśeyaṁ vā hutāśanam | rāmaṁ bhartāram utsṛjya na tv ahaṁ tvāṁ kathaṁcana ||
“ഞാൻ പർവ്വതശിഖരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വീണാലും, ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചാലും; എന്റെ ഭർത്താവ് രാമനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഒരിക്കലും നിന്നെ സ്വീകരിക്കില്ല.”
