राजसूये पुनर्वीर त्वमेवं वर्धयिष्यसि । तब महायशस्वी महाराज दुर्योधनने उससे इस प्रकार कहा--“वीर! तुम्हारा यह कथन सत्य है। नरश्रेष्ठ जब दुरात्मा पाण्डव मारे जायँगे, उस समय महायज्ञ राजसूयके समाप्त होनेपर तुम पुनः इसी प्रकार मेरा अभिनन्दन करोगे”
rājasūye punaḥ vīra tvam evaṁ vardhayiṣyasi |
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “വീരാ! രാജസൂയയാഗത്തിൽ നീ വീണ്ടും ഇതേവിധം എന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തും.” അതുകേട്ട് മഹായശസ്സുള്ള ദുര്യോധനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “വീരാ! നിന്റെ വാക്ക് സത്യം. യുദ്ധത്തിൽ പാണ്ഡവർ വധിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ, മഹായജ്ഞമായ രാജസൂയം സമാപിക്കുന്ന വേളയിൽ നീ വീണ്ടും ഇതേവിധം എന്നെ അഭിനന്ദിക്കും.”
