A great sacrifice should be supported by both material sufficiency (food and drink for participants and guests) and inner excellence (guṇas such as discipline, purity, generosity, and right intention). Prosperity is presented as ethically meaningful when it sustains dharmic public action.
Vaiśampāyana offers a formal benediction to a Bharata prince, wishing that his mahāyajña may commence and continue successfully, fully provisioned and marked by flourishing virtues—an auspicious endorsement of the rite’s proper conduct and outcome.
