जुद्वत्यग्नौ हवि: क्षीरं मन्त्रवत् सुसमाहिता: । ब्राह्मणा वेदवेदाड़पारगा: सुदृढव्रता:
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: juhvaty agnau haviḥ kṣīraṃ mantravat susamāhitāḥ | brāhmaṇā vedavedāṅgapāragāḥ sudṛḍhavratāḥ ||
അപ്പോൾ സുദൃഢവ്രതന്മാരായ, വേദവും വേദാംഗങ്ങളും പാരംഗതരായ ബ്രാഹ്മണർ ഏകാഗ്രചിത്തരായി മന്ത്രോച്ചാരണമോടെ പ്രജ്വലിത അഗ്നിയിൽ നെയ്യും പായസവും ഹവിസ്സായി അർപ്പിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
