आयोधितास्तु गन्धर्वा: सुचिरं सोदरैर्मम । मया सह महाबाहो कृतश्चनो भयत: क्षय:,महाबाहो! मेरे भाइयोंने मेरे साथ रहकर गन्धर्वोंके साथ बहुत देरतक युद्ध किया और उसमें दोनों पक्षके बहुत-से सैनिक मारे गये
āyodhitās tu gandharvāḥ suciraṃ sodarair mama | mayā saha mahābāho kṛtaś ca no bhayataḥ kṣayaḥ ||
മഹാബാഹോ! എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ എനിക്കൊപ്പം ചേർന്ന് ഗന്ധർവന്മാരോടു ദീർഘകാലം യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു. ആ ഏറ്റുമുട്ടലിൽ ഇരുപക്ഷത്തിലും അനേകം യോദ്ധാക്കൾ വീണു; ഭയവും നാശവും ഞങ്ങളെ മൂടി.
दुर्योधन उवाच
