Vyāsa’s Consolation to Yudhiṣṭhira: Tapas, Kāla, and the Difficulty of Dāna (दान-तपस्-विवेकः)
आयुधानि च दिव्यानि विविधानि समादधु: । ते दंशिता रथै: सर्वे ध्वजिन: सशरासना:
āyudhāni ca divyāni vividhāni samādadhuḥ | te daṃśitā rathaiḥ sarve dhvajinaḥ saśarāsanāḥ ||
അവർ പലവിധ ദിവ്യായുധങ്ങൾ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു. പിന്നെ എല്ലാവരും പൂർണ്ണസജ്ജരായി, ധ്വജങ്ങളോടുകൂടിയ രഥങ്ങളിൽ കയറി—ധനുസ്സും അമ്പുകളും സഹിതം.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined readiness: when a righteous task or peril approaches, one should be properly equipped and organized, not reckless—strength and resources are to be gathered with responsibility.
The group previously described prepares for an impending conflict or expedition by taking up celestial weapons and mounting their bannered chariots, armed with bows and arrows.
